프랑스 대도시를 중심으로 코로나19 재확산 우려가 커지는 가운데 사망자가 3만명을 넘어섰다.
프랑스 질병통제국은 11일(현지시간) 프랑스의 코로나19 사망자가 전날 저녁 기준 하루 전보다 25명 늘어난 총 3만4명이라고 밝혔다.
프랑스의 코로나19 사망자는 세계에서 미국, 브라질, 영국, 이탈리아, 멕시코 다음으로 많은 숫자이다. 프랑스의 누적 확진자 수는 현재까지 17만752명이다.
프랑스 보건당국은 코로나19 상황이 전반적으로 안정되다가 최근 대도시를 중심으로 다시 확산하는 기류가 감지된다면서 각별한 주의를 당부했다.
질병통제국에 따르면 프랑스 전국의 코로나19 재생산지수는 최근 몇 주간 1 미만을 유지했으나, 지난주 대도시만을 따로 집계한 결과 1.05로 나타났다.
재생산지수는 환자 1명이 감염시키는 사람의 수를 나타내는 지표다. 통상 재생산지수가 1을 넘어 계속 올라가면 역학조사나 방역 대응이 바이러스 전파 속도를 따라잡기 어려워진다.
